| | Old decoy Carving bench I have been carving since i was about eight, but have recently decided to try to make a few decoys in the style of the old fashioned working decoys. I have seen a bench made for roughing out decoys with a hatchet that I am interested in trying to make but so far have not been able to find any online, it is long and skinny and you straddle it like a horse and work on your decoy in front of you. the decoy is held down by a wooden clamp that is operated with a foot rest below the bench. I hope this rough description will help someone figure out what i am talking about and help me find some direction as to the specifics of the project. any help would be greatly appreciated. |
