Thumbs up OK, I was wrong...

OK, I was wrong!!! Just like NancyG, I thought I knew sharp, but LittleShavers (Rick & Theresa) proved me wrong.

I recently sent 10 tools for sharpening thinking they might need it. While I hate to part with my tools for any length of time this was well worth it. Included in my tools were my Pfeil gouges, a helvie knife, and a Butz detail knife (which when purchased was dull!). I've had these tools for quite some time and had been stropping them after and during each carving session. I had never oiled these tools (damn lazy of me) and the shanks were starting to show where my skin was in contact with the tool.

Needless to say, I received the tools back (total cost $2 per tool plus shipping both ways) and last night I went down to my "man cave" and thought I would open the box and check the tools out. First of all each tool had been sharpened beyond belief (sharp like I have never known) and I can't wait to start my next project. Secondly, each tools shank had been cleaned and polished (looks brand new), and lastly each tool included an edge protecter (BONUS).

Now, I know LittleShavers gets a lot of press on this board, but this comes unsolicited, I do not know Rick or Theresa and Rick and myself rarely come accross each other on the board, BUT MAN WHAT IS BEING SAID IS TRUE. IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT I RECOMMEND LITTLE SHAVERS!!!

My hats off to you Rick and Theresa, you've got my business!

Tony,
Thank you for the kind words.

Now let's see if sharp tools really do make a difference.

Rick

I couldnt agree more and you have heard me sing the praises of Rick and Theresa many times on this board. When I arrived home from Florida my box of about 50 tools was waiting for me. Not only were there sharper than sharp but I had Rick refurbish a couple of knifes that my grandsons were throwing at trees in the back yard and I ran over with a lawn mower. The knifes and tools were fixed better than when I first purchased them. Yes hat off to Little Shavers I have nothing but admiration for the service I recieve from them. BTW eat your hearts out I had Rick make me a knife and all I can say is WOW it is my prized knife I dont even want to use it, it is so beautiful.
You cant go wrong with Little Shavers great people and great products.
Colin
