Default New Tools from Rick

Don't know of a better place to post this. Ordered the beginner set of tools from Rick, for my 11 year old Grand daughter. Received the set today (4 work days). Just had to open it up and check it out. And now I am teeed off! Grand daughter will have better chisels than I do. Is this the marketing plan??? I don't think I can purchase palm chisels that are as good as Ricks beginner set - for any where near Ricks price (for the whole beginner set). Maybe I need another beginner set...Thanks for the super service Rick! Tom H

Thank you for the kind words, but Tom, what is a marketing plan?

Yeah right! A marketing plan may get me to ask "Holy cow Rick! what kind of chisels are those that you include in your beginners tool box"? "Oh! and while you're answering that question, how can I get some"? Tom H

Tom,
The only way to get them from me is in the beginner's kit.
I put close to an hours work into the tools in each set.
After adding everything to the set, and my time, I just break even on them.

I suppose you could say that is my marketing plan, to gain a happy customer on their first wood carving tool purchase.

So, Rick, your plan is to lose a little money on each order but make up for it in Volume?

Capt. that reminds me of a story;

This guy started a business and was selling product at a furious pace.

He asked his brother (an accountant) to look over his books to see how he was doing.

After checking the numbers, the accountant said: "Brother, if sales were any better, you would be broke"
