several ways Ive seen to make the handles,

you can make 2 slabs and carve out a hollow just big enough to set the blade into and epoxy it all together

or make the handle one piece and drill a series of holes side by side then wobble the bit to join them in one slot(this method breaks a lot of bits)

or make the handle and drill a larger hole and force the blade into the epoxy filled hole , the hole should be at 1/8 less than the blade width so the blade has some wood to be anchored into..when the blade, wrapped in sandpaper, its put in a vice and the handle is hammered over the blade., the epoxy filled hole has a piece of packing tape over it to keep the epoxy inside while its inverted and being hammered on the blade.

I have been using my Warren knife handle for years. It does loosen but I tighten it by hand. It's just the natural thing to do for me now. I like the shape of it. It is the plastic blue handle with the brass screw.
