Thank you Callynne .... Even my trifocals (yes, I said TRI) could use a boost when I'm painting. I'm OK for light but I think I need the magnification. So, I'll repeat Wayne's question ... where did you get it?
Thanks again.
And - WOW -- that fairy is GORGEOUS.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you like her! As for the magnifier, I got it through Blick Studio, page 375 of their 2004 Edition Catalog. It's a little pricey, $29.99 plus shipping but I consider it priceless!! They make all kinds, from floor lamps to table lamps and clip on ones that have the magnifier. They also make the magnifier I got that has a base instead of clipping on. I'm planning on getting it to use over at my painting table.

Wayne, if you don't have the catalog the web site is www.dickblick.com
Thanks again for the compliments on my Fairy! Callynne

Sorry, Big Brother, remembered after I was off the computer yesterday that I'd forgotten to answer your question, honest, I did it (as my children always used to say) "on accident", don't tell Mom on me!

You do have a good eye, the entire carving is exactly seven inches. Now I just have to find time to paint her, Santa requests are coming in and I feel a little guilty working on her, since she's for me, when others are waiting! I need more TIME in my day!! Callynne

Thanks for the information on the magnifier Callynne!!! (...these young eyes are feeling old). I was looking for a solution, and I like the idea of the magnifier being separate from the light.
