Default looking for a Skil power carver

I was wondering if anyone out there had or knows where I can purchase a Skil power carver. Skil do not make them anymore they used to do sold by Flexcut but they dont have any either. I have one that I have had for about two years, used it and abused it but it still keeps on carving. I have an Arbortech and a Riobi but they are not what the Skil is to me. I think it is because they take the Flexcut blades and that makes them very versitile. Have heard some good things about the Proxxon but have never tried one. Have tried the Automach but again it doesnt take the Flexcut blades. I am just looking for a Skil as a back up who knows when or if this one will give up the ghost. Also if you have a Proxxon would like to hear how you like it.

Default Re: looking for a Skil power carver

Â* Â* Hi Colin, I have the Proxxon reciprocating carver and I can't say enough good things about it...I love it!! Â*It uses the FlexCut blades but I found that the blades that came with it work wonderfully well. Definitely would recommend it VERY HIGHLY!!
Â* Â* I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of your work! Â*Callynne
