| | leather apron I just received an ad from Northern Supply and Equipement and they have a full length leather welders apron on sale for 19.95...wow! if you ever wanted one...buy it! thats a steal for a leather apron.....I will try to paste it here, but if it won't come up, do a google search....Dave |

Cost me just over $100.00 for mine. Of course mine has to be thicker, to protect from wild, stabbing, sharp, blades, not just the odd flying spark! Still, five layers would still be cheaper than mine!!! Boo hoo!!!

| | Re: leather apron I went to Leather Craft and bought a tanned cowhide and made my own. I have used it for years. Its got a few stab holes in it by now but I still have both legs and only small scratch scars. They really do help protect you. What ever you do never put gouges in the pockets. Leave the pockets for your pencil. I came close once to having a major problem but learned me lesson.
