Default Knives from scissor blades

I just made these this week the blades are from a set of old scissors.
The handles are teak and the black around the blades is carbon fiber and epoxy, to bond the blades to the handles.
They seem to hold an edge I may play around with the bevel and shape some more.
I have some chisels made from old files they work well also.

Looks like you're getting a good start on the knives, Brian. Be sure to keepus posted as you play with the bevels and shapes! Looks good so far.

check your scissors out well before you waste a lot of effort......a lot of the scissors had a very thin (32nd or 64th of an inch?) of good steel sandwiched onto junk metal.....scissors made during the war especially! You can see the different metals if you look for it.....

Good point Hi Ho, I guess a person would have to find really old ones, like grandmas sewing scissors to get a good metal.

...and a lot of cheap imported scissors are actually made from cast metal and have very poor ductility.
