Wow.. lucky you!!! I had to buy all my tiny lil burs from Turbo II site. They ARE tiny arent they? I love using them for the fingers on the dolls I'm carving.

tiny?
dropped one and had to get a magnet to find it, finely stood up and it was in a wrinkle in my jeans,
less than a quarter of a round tooth pick. and some shanks are less than 1/16" inch,, but the dremel 3 jaw chuck will close down in a needle...
and sharp,,,,,,,,,,,,

it paid off to ask the dentist, i really got a free tooth extraction if you sum it all up...
im liking that dentest, he babys me, absolutely no sharp pains...

going to have to carve him something...

Glad to hear you have a kind and generous dentist, like mine. I've been using dental burrs on my ship model carving for ages and it really takes it to another level of results. You'll have to try broken dental probes and scrapers next Thomp, they work out to be great tiny carving chisels and knives. Hard to shape and sharpen, but once they are there, they stay sharp forever. Great for getting into really tough to get at corners.

Bob

I tell you, I can see several comical carvings of you doing good will drilling of teeth for friends, but I'm too busy to come that far of course. I'll bet the master, Lynn, which I truly believe he is, has already got the wheels turning, or even started carving on this one. Hey tho - you lucky dog, last time I went to my dentist, I mentioned those burrs, and that guy used them on me. I am glad for you, I hope you have a lot of fun using them, don't forget to show us what you did with them. Earl

Default JACKPOT! 45 New Dental Burrs

Kenny,

i have to wonder if that approach has ever worked for you? HA! i see it often tried ......
And half? HA HA! maybe a few....
these baby's are smaller than the sharp point of a pencil.... i broke one just taking it out of the wrapper

try your dentist see if you can get a free extraction, buddy, got to say, i am earning these burs now, the shots are wearing off....

bob,
During my years in the service, i was in the supply squadron, there was disposable items.
when the dental supply man inventoried, he had pounds of bent, broken and twisted tools he was saving for special trading material. only usable for toolmaking...
they were one use tools, or expendable Items, While I had several items his shop needed, expendable, recycled throw aways, was a second line of supply.. i knowed a carver which was a machienest, he needed tool steel, man it was like the charter "radar, on mash 4077". i miss that part of the service...
"did you know 14 deflated basket balls was worth a pallet of fresh hen eggs, and a crate of cows milk in alaska?" haw!
nuff said....

dental pics and scrapers, lots are solid carbide great steel, but you got to run them through a lot of chemicals to insure there's no bugs on them.....

Hey guys,

any ideas of a gift carving for him in the way of a caricature?

He pledged painless dentistry, and comes through on the pledge....
Thinking of a "good work buddy!", Thanks for the mercy carving,. for him, ?
he is a sportsman or likes deer duck and turkey mounts as his waiting room is littered with deer heads and full birds.,

in the 15 last years i usually only show up to him in severe pain, I leave mellow and restful....
Any ideas welcome.

Rick,
I gotta keep that man happy, i Pay full in ca$h.... if i get a bill im asking questions.

Earl,
i have did a few of my own extractions really drunk though. but drilling,? not even me,.. on myself. i got more nerves in my mouth than anywhere else, it took 4 injections to deaden this one, i have took up to 7 and then still white knuckled it through,,,

Earl, if you need some work done i got some white epoxy and i can work you in an appointment. bring, a change of underware and your own drugs and big rubber mallet.. no waiting guaranteed.... one whack and
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzch,
ill put you where the skeeters dont pack you off till you can wake up,,,,
