Default High Speed Engraver/Power Carving

I need help! I am looking at the TurboCarver II with the compressor for my Father-in-Law.

Can anyone let me know if this is a decent peice of equipment? Is there something better, yet arround the same price?

I'm not a powercarver yet (Chisels and Gouges for me), but am interested in anyones thoughts for myself as well!

A couple more systems to look into.
'Cathy Krumrei' <ckrum@cpinternet.com> Â*uses the Enduro system. Â*Swears by it. Â*The people who sell it do not have a web site at this time, but their email is Â*AngelsRest01@aol.com
Cathy has done lots of eggs and tagua nuts and antlers with hers.
I have a Paragrave tool. Â*http://www.paragrave.com/

We have had it a number of years, though haven't used it much. Â*Just had a dust cabinet built in the spring so now starting to get some use out of it. Â*So far I have used it a little on wood, but mostly on Elk and Moose antlers.
Since most of my carving has been on basswood, the high speed tool is not my favorite tool for wood. Â*It is much better on hard surfaces....I foresee using it on walnut, maple, etc in the future.
On my web page, under Antlers, you can see a set of jewelry that I carved of elk antler. Â*I did a carabou on a carabou antler also. Â*It is on picture trail. I am not sure you will be able to look at it as it says only members can. Â*Anyway, my member name there is BetteFranke, if you want to try.
