| | Help in finding a site/special pocket knife Hello Guys & Dolls
I am new to the group here and from having looked a little at the forums everyone here seems so helpful. Have to ask a Huge favor.
While looking around at different carving sites, somewhere I came across a carver who had a blade pocket knife specialized for carving. one blade a gouge, one a V tool, 3rd for detail/etc. Help. He had pictures and If I'm right there might have been directions on how to..Why ask? well, I'm 36 and building a business. Raised here in Texas and shirt and tie or not, always carry a pocket knife. HELP...Anyone know what I'm talking about. |

| | Re: Help in finding a site/special pocket knife Their is a man by the name of Charlie Berold that lives in Miamisburg,OH that makes knives, also will take your favorite pocketknife and install up to a 24 deg. V tool and gouges of your choice.Very good knife and a excellent job,but very high end on cost.My input is the price is worth the quality of the workmanship you recieve. |

| | Re: Help in finding a site/special pocket knife Thanks, sounds like Charlie could be the one/site I saw. I did see the carving Jack from the other posts so felt a little dumb after I posted for it but was wondering about getting it done for less, etc.. |

| | Re: Help in finding a site/special pocket knife The Flexcut folding knife is a large klunker compared to the work by Charlie Berold.
I prefer to carry a small folder, like a whittler with 3-blades or a single blade Old Timer and second gouge or two.
You can also consider an excellent option from Cape Forge http://www.capeforge.com/chisels.htm
Check out the Mini Chisel Set, small leather pouch with several sizes of chisels/gouges.

| | Re: Help in finding a site/special pocket knife I don't think Charlie has a web site. Plus, he's about 3+X the cost of the carving jack. His tools ARE one-of-a-kind and well worth the price though. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
