Default Grizzly carving tools, Any experience with them?

Hey everyone, Ive had some Grizzly carving tools for quite some time now. Yes, its the same company that makes the grinders, saws etc. I got them on ebay for pretty cheap. It is a set of 12 or so for 40 dollars i think. They are full size tools for mallet and or hand use. When i received them and opened them up i thought i might have made a mistake for buying them. The case said they were hardened to Rc57-59 but said nothing about the steel itself so i was skeptical. I worked with them and was kind of impressed but i still dont trust them. Theyve seemed to hold their edges well and i dont think theyre stainless because ive found some rust spots on them. But i was wondering if ANYONE has had any experience and or opinions on these tools. Any replies to put this skeptism to sleep is very appreciated thanks...

I have purchased one set from Grizzley that would make really good trot line weights. They do (or did) have some individual tools that were not to bad. I believe the brand was Sorby's- Sheffield steel from England. I am not where I can check to see if my memory is still not working. Usual rule is you get what you pay for. I find this to be especially true with carving tools.

Good Luck, Don
