Default Got my new tools today

Hi all

just arrived home (after a lil detour) from purchasing my flexcut starter carving set.

Really looking forward to using it but I think I should get some needed sleep first.

Bye for now

Steve

Well Steve, a new and first carving set opens a whole world of possibilities. Determining the type of carving you want to begin with, the type of wood, lots of decisions. Safety first, make sure you get yourself a carving glove to protect yourself from cuts, they happen, all too quickly for beginners, and can be serious. Private lessons, public classes, carving clubs, online tutorials and lots of books, are all ways to learn the basics. Check out Rick's set up at www.LittleShavers.com too, he has some great stuff there for beginners.

Welcome to the best, most satisfying, most relaxing, hobby known to man. Enjoy and ask all the questions you'd like, lots of great help aboard here, and as you'll discover, some of the nicest folks in the world.

Bob
