Default gill drake very nice!!

our caving club had our Christmas social this past saturday and a bunch of people there i hadn't before i haven't been much this year.but i took some tools to try and straighten out and sharpen good on the clubs sharpener, wich if you aren't very careful will burn a tool up quick !!! which i did to a v tool !!
well in a few minutes a club member came up with another guy i didn't know but he was going to fix a iknife for the club member, and i could tell as quick as he got on the sharpener he knew what he was doing. come to find out it was gill drake carving tool maker who was visiting family and taking care of his mother who had some health problems, when he finished with the members knife he asked if i would like for him to fix my v tool which i quickly jumped on and he had it cutting better than it did when it was new in about 2 minutes!!
i mean this tool was blue on one side!!! anyway goes to show you never know who you'll run into and because he was so nice makes me wanna try some of his tools now, don't know if you read here mr drake but thanks a bunch and our prayers go out to you and your family hope your mother gets better.thanks again nice to have met you.

mike,

he is a nice fellow i have had dealings with him and he is a great guy, also have some of his tools and they are great tools, if you have any problems with his tools all you have to do is send it back and he will straighten it out free of charge all you have to pay is postage.

Daddio,
I met the Drakes last year at the Mesa AZ show and bought a knife and v-tool. They were very nice people and I love their tools. He showed me a few quick things about carving and he is quite a good carver.
They also had nice things to say about Rick in Seattle so that makes them OK in my book.
