Default Flexcut SK series

When inserting & removing tools in the handle of the Flexcut SK series, do the tools stay tight in the handle or do they loosen after repeated used.
I like to get some bigger tools, looked at getting the Flexcut LH 100 Power Handle set.
But i can get the same tools in the SK series for $30.00 less.
I`d like to know the pros & cons from the users of the Flexcut SK series and would be a good buy.
Thank you
John

they tighten down, you get an open end wrench with them...but its a pain to keep changing tools back and forth.....imho been thinking of making handles for all of mine.

I gave up on anything that requires changing tools in a common handle eons ago. To satisfy my portablility needs I bought some of the long handled Ramelson's and lived happily ever after.

Hi Ho, thanks
I didn`t know the tools had a wrench to tighten`em. I was lookng at them in Chippingaway and all they said was, the tools are simple to change with a simple 'push - pull'.

I have some RG tools. I got tired changing in and out of the handle. So I made handles and epoxied the tools in with a brass washer--they're good for light mallet work. Here's a pic.

Doulies,
I think Hi Ho is talking about the Warren tools, the SK blades just push in and pull out. I bought the large set and then added blades as needed, I also bought extra handles in all three sizes, throw them in a tool roll and take them any where. I know others will disagree but the tools hold an edge fine and the set is just real convenient. Changing blades takes two seconds so I do not find that to be a problem. I will post the web site for the place where I bought mine, they are a couple bucks cheaper then most other places.

Looks like the only problem with the SK series is the inconvenience of changing the tools.
Being retired, that won`t be a problem
Thanks for the replys

I had my set for about 4 months and no problem. They are still tight. I don't mind changing blades. Less clutter on my Bench. They are SHARP,and hold an Edge.
