Default Extended Bandsaw attachments?

Hi,
I read in a book, {that is 20 years old} and it said there is a company that makes a 14' Bandsaw and it cuts '6, but the book says the company makes an attachment to extend its cutting depth from 6', to 12'. Does anyone know of a bandsaw that can do that? I don't want to buy a generic one. Thank you

Most of your decent bandsaws have a 'riser' attachment, I have a Ridgid and they make one, only have been hearing they are hard to find... The best buy out there in my opinion is the Grizzly Go555 I think the number is, and they have a riser, Delta, Jet......can't think offhand who else. Do a google search. If you already have a bandsaw and put a riser on it, you have to get new blades for the increased distance!

You are asking about two different dimensions. The 14 inch bandsaw cuts wood in pieces as long as 14 inches and as high as 6 inches. The width of the wood is dependent on the size of the table or how you hold the wood when it starts to hang over the table. The riser adds more to the 6 inches of height. Most generic brands of bandsaws that I have seen will take a Delta riser, or their own specific brand.

I believe Delta has an extension block for theirs also.
