Bob: I have this one Woodcraft - Jet Air Filtration System, Model AFS-1000B - Enhanced Image sitting on top of my basement refrigerator, right next to where I do my carving. It catches most of the dust in the air when I use my Dremel. I also use my shop vac at the same time. When using the Dremel, I sit in front of the workbench and hold the shop vac hose with my knees so it's pointing towards the carving and dremel. This sucks up most of the dust as it's being created. I still use a dust mask, though. When I use my bandsaw, it has a 2 inch diameter hole in the back that is meant to hook up to an air filtration system, which I don't have as such. I put the end of the shop vac hose into this hole (it's safe on my band saw as there is a baffle to prevent the hose from moving to far inside the bandsaw). When I'm sawing, this will such most of the sawdust up. After I'm finished sawing, I always unplug the saw, open it up, and use the shop vac to clean out all the dust inside the saw also. Not the ideal situation - a dedicated dust collection system with the exhaust going to the outside air would be best, but it's not an option in my townhome. Someday, when I retire... Claude |

I bought mine at Manard's and like it a lot. Cost a little more that 30 dollars. I just set it up on the bench and turn it on high. A lot is pulled threw and some is left on the bench by holding the carving close to the enlet.
