Re: dupli-carver question Used aT110 Duplicarver for 12 years,sell small Santa figures on wholesale basis,dealers want something looking like the photos sent them. There is a lot of new technology out there ,nine inch santa taking 40 min.with square end router,can be done in 15 min,Some items sold as duplicating machines are slower than doing by hand..Best bit of advice I can give you is to buy a round end router bit and throw the square end router roughing bit as far away as you can,they slam and throw the alignment of the stylus and cutter out of wack,usually ruining the piece.The other thing is that on occasion,I enter carving shows,these carvings are made larger than what will fit in a T110,once you start playing with a copy machine,the backstabbers come out to play and no matter what you do,it's a copy,so be warned.Will be doing some articles on cutters,masters etc,interesting world, |
