Default Dremel 10" bandsaw

Howdy, I'm newly registered and I hope I'm posting this in the right category. I have a chance to get a non-working Dremel 10" bandsaw model 1120 from a "friend" for 50.00 bucks. I can't fnd anything about them on the Dremel site. Are parts etc still available? I'd appreciate if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!Wink

I would pass on it and save your money toward a larger, better saw. My 2 cents worth.

I agree....get a Jet,
Ridgid, Delta, Grizzly etc etc..lots of good bandsaws out there...and saving a lot of money means you will spend that much and more to replace whatever with a better quality item in the future.....don't ask me how I know that!

I agree. Usually a bargain is not a bargain at all an could end up costing you more than if you purchase a new item.

If you are serious about wood working spend the extra dollars and get a quality machine. It will last a lifetime, save you lots of aggravation and maintain much of its value if you ever decide to sell it or hand it down to your heirs.

Restoring a non working tool is usually more trouble than it's worth. You can find a working used saw for that price on Craigslist most days.

You can buy a brand new one for under $100.00, small but would work.
