The Canadian seller of Pfiel tools is KMS Tools. Try:
http://www.kmstools.com

He ships small orders for about $10.00 and claims orders for less than $400 are usually not inspected or charged for duties. His prices are quoted in $Canadian and $US and seem pretty cheap.

8) Hey mdallensr, I checked out kmstools. Looks like their prices are $10 - $15 cheaper than what I paid at Woodcraft. Have you ordered anything through them? I might have to give 'em a try!

Hey grumpy, I checked out www.hummel.com. No carving tools, some sort of Internet service/ computer upgrade site. Are you sure that is the right address? :'(

www.hummel com is the right address, there isn't any tools on the sight but e-mail them and they will send you a catalog for free. Takes about 4-5 days to get it.

here is another canadian source for pfiel tools. http://www.woodcarvingbiz.com
they gave me the figure of $200 before any customs or import duties kick in. I spent about $80 for $140 dollars worth of Woodcraft tools and had my order in about a week. I had a few questions because I had never placed an international order before and they gave me prompt response via email. These folks are carvers helping carvers and will get future business from me.

I got a catalog from Hummel and had a question about a Lyons carving knife. I was put in touch with the owner/manager of the store who went and got the knife and answered all of my questions. I ordered the knife and got it in about a week. Good service, no complaints.

Hey Grumpy560, That's a good address! What a difference one letter makes. But like you say,'always keep 'em gueesing'. I sent for their catalog, heck the price is right! It's great to hear about all these 'new' sites. Â*
