Default Dangerous looking knife

While searching the internet for a double bladed carving knife, I stumbled across this! Looks scary. There were some tools as well.

I wouldn't think it is used on wood, the alum tube it slides into wouldn't hold too much pressure & likely to bend very easy. As the other picture's label states, maybe it it used for fruit or pumpkin or maybe serve as a office/letter/package opener. Whatever, it would be for light duty...

I'm not a fan of the blade shapes, or length to width ratio, but the idea has some merit. I'd rather see the handle screw ono the blades, thicker walls would solve the strength problem, and the handles need to not be round- I hate a knife that rolls when you put it down. Thanks for sharing, that one gets jotted down in the idea book for future processing.

I can see the point (pun intended) for fruit or soap carving but there is a real question of legality. I doubt if I could import them into Australia. The quality is also suspect. Especially the fit on the ferrules in the second photo. The grinds dont looks so good to me either.
