If your tools are stored where it is cold, when you heat up your workshop they will condense water on them. Just like a cold drink in the summer time. Would it be possible to bring them in where it is warm?

Yes, they still make cosmoline! Now you can buy it in a much purified, consumer version. It is called Vasaline. No joke, this is the same stuff without the impurities. The problem is that it makes the tools slippery and it attracts dust. You can buy a variety of rust inhibitors at Wally World or Lowes or Home Depot. I am thinking any of them would work fine on tools. Also, try a gun shop.
