I did something dumb today. I wore my carving glove--the one I wear when doing my basswood carvings--while I was outside peeling bark from some found wood. Whereas it was smart to wear the glove, it's now terribly dirty. I'm certainly not going to put a nice clean piece of basswood in that hand. The tag on the glove doesn't have cleaning instructions. The tag says: Handguard IIa by Whizard Protective Wear. Any special precautions about washing this thing?

Jim, I just put mine in the wash . Not all the stains come out but it is clean . that's what I do. Jim

I have a Kevlar with the wire woven in and I've washed it 2 times in the sink by hand with mild dish soap. Not complaints.

Okay. I'll hand wash and hope most of the stains come out. Guess I should wear my work gloves or get another carving glove for the dirty work.

Thanks, everybody, for the info. I'll throw mine in the washer next time.

Jim, I spray mine first with a pre spray stain remover, then into the wash. Dave |

I have the same gloves as Loretta. Every so often I throw them in the washing machine along with my flannel carving shirt and jeans... amazing what a little soap and water will do. Claude |
