Default Carving Vise

I just found this on the Ace Hardware site

http://www.acehardware.com/product/i...hId=5652121125

Has anyone seen it? Used it?

That's the Irwin system. I have one. It really isn't quite solid enough for carving. It is great for holding board at oddball angles for glue ups or for providing a third hand when working alone. As a general woodworking clamp it is pretty convenient at times.

I bought one to use to hold work. Not solid to use for carving with a mallet.
