I have used Cape Forge for about 15 years now. These are professional quality tools. The steel really holds an edge. My originals are showing very little wear for as much carving that is done with them. Some knives I consider hobby knives. A Flexcut knife cuts well but I can only get a year at most of service life. My 15 year old Capeforge still has plenty of meat and will outlast me no matter how many times I sharpen it. The little detail Knife is interesting as you can hold like a pencil and it feels like a pencil. Anna bought thier 20th anniversary editon for Christmas. I haven't decided if I want to just keep it in its case or use it. I had Karin custom make my gouges that I use for beard lines and they only charged me the price of a stock gouge. I have the Traveler kit and its great on the road. The new Tomz Knife Messager makes for quick honing on these for as hard as the steel is.

Goody - It's so good tohear that these tools are as good after years of use as they are new. Thanks for the great shots of the tools and your work.

I'm a Cape Forge fan too, and have several. Been eyeing thier draw knife for awhile now, too.
