Default Bandsaw Blade

My blade on my old 12" Craftsman bandsaw broke thursday.

Today I went to the store to buy a replacement, but I bought the wrong size so it wouldn't work on my saw.

What else could I do, I got in my truck, drove back to the store, and returned with the right size bandsaw.

I bought the Powermatic 14 inch; it seems like a good saw with several options the Craftsman didn't have. Things like a table that doesn't change angle while cutting, a light to count fingers by, and brackets for hanging all kinds of things on.

I noticed this afternoon that my tablesaw blade is getting dull....

That is the rigth way to do things Rick.
I did notice that there is a new handle out for my power carver.......
Must be a shame to put a new handle on an OLD carver?

Magne,
Yes, that would be a crying shame.

I put up with that saw for 20+ years; it was like an old friend, it had its faults but I accepted them. Sometimes a person needs to make new friends.

Well , the old shopsmith is a fair drill press but there are times ya just don't feel like all that tool changing and lifting and tilting etc. ! So like you I done went and got me a new toy as well. New drill press sitting out in the shop cooling off. It got a good workout just as soon as I got her together. She's my new best friend in the whole wide world ;-) Whittler

OK guys . Sounds like you all have to be some kinda kin . Its just a good thing you dont live to close or we might have to fight for the toy store as I call it . I have been guilty of comeing home with a brand new friend in the back of the truck . But of course it was on sale and they might not have it that cheap again . };-)
