Default Anyone used the port-a-strop???

Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience / comments about the Port-A-Strop vs the Power Honer from Chipping Away or comments about other sharpening / honing systems?

Was curious as to amy thoughts or observations.

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Chris, I don't have either of these machines, but here is a link to a review of the Port-A-Strop for your interest. Port a Strop Product Review - Wood Carving Illustrated The carving club I belong to (Prescott Wood Bee Carvers) have a nice honing, stropping and polishing machine. I don't recall the name of it, but will check in a couple of weeks. We meet twice a month so in between I use my leather stropper at the end of each carving session. At some point it would be nice to have my own machine.

I've had the power honer from chipping away for several years; can't say enough good things about it. I know Floyd Rhadigan and Tom Wolfe have one and swear by it.
