Haven't tried any projects myself but according to a good friend the smell from grinding is really intense. He was carving a design in an antler of some kind. Guess you need to stay upwind if possible.
Good luck!!

I am using an air turbine. Â*We have had it for 5 or so years and never used it, due to inadequate dust colllection. Â*I had a dust cabinet built earlier this year and have started to use it. Â*You can see what I have done so far on my picture trail site.

I have more started, but nothing more ready to post.
I have been using it mostly on antler. Â* I think my first egg is on that site, and a bit done on basswood. Â*I plan to do some on walnut, but got side tracked with the antler. Â*Really enjoy working with the turbine, but adequate dust collection is a priority.
