Unbelieveable! I would have never imagined that those were anything other than the real thing! I surely wouldn't believe they were carved from wood and painted! Beautiful!

Amaizing work, thanks Rick, for the link. Geez....maybe they just labeled the photos wrong........ they look like you could pick any of them up and wrap it around yourself. Great carving and painting job.

I saw some of these up close and personal when Fraser was here in Paducah at the American Quilters annual quilt show. They look as real in actuality as in the pictures. But make no mistake, they are wood and HEAVY. The quilt museum purchased one from him and it is on display here all the time.

They are neat, but I don't think my painting skills would fare well on something that intricate.
