While checking for what is available in France, I found this knife that I like.

Couteaux et ciseaux : Couteaux de sculpture 3352 KIRSCHEN 66400226

It may only my taste, but I would check that one.

Je suis aussi un nouveau sculpteur sur boi italien. J'ai achété .... oops, pardon! this is an English language forum. I have bought a Pfeil Kerbmesser, especially designed for chip carving. It's good, but I learned that there are some better knives on the market. In Italy, I am told that the best for chip carving are the knives from the brand Codega. I saw a comparison beteween Pfeil and Codega and Codega had the best result.

Just a personal comment about Pfiel knives...

I love and use only Pfiel gouges but their knives need some stopping and honing before they cut as well as their gouges, or as well as knives from other brands that I have.

I agree with Gilles, I love my Pfeil gouges, they come sharp and stay sharp. The knives will need some work before you could use them. I use a Drake chip knife.

To improve the grip on the Pfeil Kerbmesser, I have put it into a piece of rubber hose. So the grip is more comfortable.

I have used your modified swssl knife and found it to be extremely sharp on arrival and very useful for lettering. Looking forward to your new releases
