Here are two relief carvings of characters from the Josie and the Pussycats cartoon series. The pieces were done in basswood and are about a half inch think. Paint done in acrylics. I think Melody (light haired pussycat) came out better. I broke the tail off of poor Josie (red head) while carving her, so she only has a hint of a tail on the right side! Pieces were painted in acrylics.

l like your What's New? Pussycats! And just adore the Halloween kitty. Lemurs and ocelots are fun to work with. I seen prints of both, one dressed in turn of the century dress and wide brim hat. The other with his little mask, stripped tail. He is dressed in a stripped Tshirt and barre looking like the cat burglar.
