Default Wedding pattern

Hello,

My sister is getting married in a couple of months and I thought I would do a wedding themed relief carving as a present for her. The problem is that I cannot find any patterns for such a carving. I would like to use a pattern because I am at a loss for ideas.

If anyone has advise it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A chipcarved plate will always be a nice wedding gift. How about the out side border chip carved and in the center the bride with her knee up and the groom kneeling removing the garter.

You might look for a pattern of clasped hands. If you google that term you'll find a lot of ideas.

Here's a pic I googled. http://www.fredcrystal.com/dove9.gif
It would be real easy to enlarge and make a relief carving. You could add their names and date also.

hi! You know I was looking at Susan Irish' wedding bells, well they are not weddinig bells, but they so could be! They have churches in them and ribbons...great start anyway. You could also look up rubber stamps or coloring pages. There are quite a lot that are copyright free. Good luck-I hope you keep us all posted...in pictures!

dbf,
I do a pair of love birds with interlocking wedding bands below and the name and date with some vines around the rim.
