Thanks Al.

I'm thinking of putting together a little vacation pkg. for this summer / early fall .

Ya know, a little something to break up the monotony of this retirement thing .

The reason I asked is, I recently received Dillman's brochure with an order from Dick Blicks. They are offering quite a few classes that I'd be interested in taking. Just have to decide which one though.

Their brochure and website sure makes for a nice get away for a week or two.

Thanks Stacey.

There is a feature to the picture frame that you can't see.

I coped the right inside edge of the frame to allow the board that I did the carving on to expand without blowing the frame apart.

Thanks Kathy.

As far as what's next?

I don't know!

The path that I have been following suddenly split and has become many.

At this point in time I'm not sure which one I'll choose to follow.

But, I do know that I had better start beating a path to my shop an get some of the furniture orders I have out the door!!

Brian,
Did you have a pattern for this? As a new carver I would like to try it if you do. I do not have the talent to freehand the drawing and then do such a good job on the carving.

Sorry, there is no pattern.

I did use a picture of an Oriole that was featured on the back cover of the Feb. / March 06 issue of Birds & Bloom's magazine as a reference and model.

The Dogwood branch grew out of my head though .

You have the talent to free hand draw.

Just draw what your eye's see, don't listen to your brain!
