Looking good Brian. Might I suggest a pile of 3 or more rocks? The 2 rocks look out of place to me.

Thanks for the suggestion Todd.

I mis-cut the one large rock and somehow it became two.(grin)

I did several pencil drawings with more rocks and decided that less is more because they were competing with the figure, which I want to avoid.

I agree 2 don't look right.

Finally got some time to finish up the carving and wood-burning.

Just finished getting some color on the carving. I'm a little unhappy with the yellow, I thought I had it feathered out better, oh well, it's to late now because there are 4 coats of poly on it.

The hues are washes of Liquitex Artist acrylic.
