Default Signs

Hi
I'm new to this message board. A few years ago I got decent in chip carving and really liked lettering. My prior interest was marine woodcarving. I've made some signs with incised lettering. I saw a nameboard(not up close) that had relief acanthus leaves carved in the sign. I was wondering if anyone had any info on this technique.
Thanks Andy

Hi Andy,
I am new to the message board an not sure about the protocal, but here a suggestion. Find a leather carving store, they have great acanthas designs. I used to teach leather work many moons ago, and still use th
patters in my wood carving today. Tandy may be a good place to start.
If your have a specific type your looking for, email me: wph5391@gmai.com. I may be able to help,
Good luck, Bill Hastings.

Thanks Bill
I downloaded a corner pattern from Tandy. It will be a good start. Do you have any input or close pictures on relief/scooped out leaf carving.
Thanks Andy
