Hi All,
Thanks for the replies.
Bill,
Your idea about rubber cement sounds interesting. If it has worked for 600 pieces, that's good enough for me. But, where can I get this rubber cement? Is this something I can get in home depot? Is this a spray or a paste?

John,
Thanks for the hint about using thin paper. I tried with ordinary printing paper (with some spray adhesive which didn't peel off well) and found the problem of not getting fine edges. It just didn't look right. May the thickness of the paper was the problem.

NS,
Any craft, office supply, or stationary store carries it. Made by ELMER'S and a few others. Try to get the acid-free type, it seems to work better.
The great part about this method is that you spend more time carving and have more control over the thickness of the lines in the pattern.

ps its goop and goes on with a brush that is is in the product. Just coat the back of the pattern, apply to the wood and smooth out. Excess can be rubbed off with your fingers when dry.

I posted this under general carving and should have been posted on this thread I think...................anyway here is an idea for transfering art to the wood..."I just saw a good tip on placing patterns on the wood, this was in a wood working mag. Use Glad press'n seal plastic wrap and tracing right onto the plastic and press it onto the workpiece, no glue, therefore no residue, it appears they are using this for scrolling as well? Would have to try this one I think."
