Default red squirrels

At last completed!!
A couple of squirrels between oak branches. It took a lot of time to undercut the leaves and to add all the details but now is finished.
The wood is swiss pine (pinus cembra). About 16X17 inches. Finished with danish oil. BTW I'm very satisfied of this kind of finish, the best I've found so far for delicate relief carving.

Well, I just posted on the other thread. The squirrels turned out very well. The textures are subtle, but perfect.
I enjoyed seeing it very much.

Hi Paolo,

Very beautiful carving. Danish oil is my preferred finish, too.

Paolo,

Wonderful job on the carving. I like the open cut-away, and the time spent undercutting the leaves was well worth it - they really pop.
