Default Portable Relief Carving Table

This has probably been asked and answered, but I am looking for a plan for a portable relief carving table that I can use in the house. I have usually done most of my relief work in the shop and saved the night carving for small hand carvings. If anyone has a picture or plan for a portable table capable of holding down relief work, I would appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Ric

I don't have a plan, but I have one I use I think I can tell you about. It is a 1x3 about 18' long with the front edge ripped at a slight angle, maybe 75-80 degrees. Then, placing that board on the bench, I made a platform out of 3/4' plywood (or maybe 1/2') and screwed it to the slanted side. That way the relief carving leans back at the 75 degree angle. I cut large holes in the plywood to give more places to hold down.

I clamp this 'vise' to the table, put the relief carving against the plywood holder and use the spring hand-clamps to hold the piece down. That allows me to turn my pieces around in any direction depending on what direction I want to carve. I use it and like it. Did I explain it in a manner you can understand???
