Default One of my first Wood Spirits..

Here is a pic of my first attempt at a Wood Spirit, I am self taught and I learn more with every piece. Some folks like the early pieces better than the ones that I am making now. I thought that strange but I guess everyone see`s something different in each piece..Thanks for looking..Knothole

Well Knothole, That first spirit is really neat. The combination of the wind swept scraggly beard and the background icy glass gives the spirit a special effect. Tom H

I like this one too, especially how you've done the hair. I've always done the hair and beard of my woodspirits with a much "wilder" look and with deep swaying flow.

You've given me something to ponder upon. Thanks for posting!

Really nice carving has its own personality. I find it has that "Old Salt" look. Impressive for your first woodspirit look forward to seeing more.
