Default Northwest First Nations Carvings

In Washington state I have been visiting shops and museums featuring the wood carvings of Native American artists along the coast from Alaska to Puget Sound. Many are carved in yellow or red cedar and are priced from under $50 to over $10,000. Here are a couple of examples: The second item includes a whittled chain and a form of chip carving.

Those are some great examples of Native Northwest wood carving, Phil. Having lived here most of my life, I sort of take the great artwork native to this area for granted. Thanks for sharing.
