Default New Project Questions

The picture I have posted below is a scene I would like to be my second project. The problem is it is a water color painting so there is not much detail and I am having a hard time picturing this in a carving. Should I add more detail or can I carve it to look as the pictue is? I would just like suggestions and ideas on what to do to make it look the best. Thanks, Colby

You can carve however you would like it to look, keep it the same or add more details. Make it your own.
This might help if you are having problems picturing it in relief:

Sometimes simpler is better, especially if carved well. Good textures and shapes can go farther to a good carving then having too much detail. But as said, you need to make it your own. If you like the design/content of the picture, the carving will more enjoyable. I spend way too much time looking for my "next project" as compared to others I know who can just pick something and carve away, having a job seems to get in the way for me. Go for it, and add the amount of detail that you feel it needs.
