Well after getting all the advice and insight from everyone here is what I ended up with. I spent quite awhile going over it with my fingers and am really pleased with the final result. Thanks everyone who contributed to helping me with it. I couldn't do it without your support. I put 2 coats of Danish oil on for finish. I hope the picture shows up Ok!

An exceptional piece, Ron! Everything seems to work well together, but I'm especially impressed with how you handled the reflections on the "water's surface".

Thanks everyone I really enjoyed this one it was my first full reflection. Colin I am working on a scene now with two Elk standing by some water with a canoe at least that is what they tell me we will see what happens. I leave for NY on the 6th next Saturday.
