The stained ones show the depth and the natural ones show the smaller elements. The stain seems to wash out the detail of the smaller chips. I do like the contrast though. Great crosses!

I'm a big believer in natural, but your crosses look much better stained,the detail shows up better. jmho.

I personally like the more natural look even though I do put a danish oil on them to keep them from getting too dusty. I like the reflection of just a clear on natural wood. It did peek my interest to hear someone sells the stained ones but not the natural. I am pretty new at this so what do I know. Haa!!
