Default Nasturtium - Finally finished

I finally finished my first relief carving. The design was taken from a picture of a ceramic tile. I liked the deco design. So the center part of the carving is has a gloss finish, and the wood "frame" has a softer finish ( Stain with Howard's Feed 'N Wax finish). The diamerer of the circle is 21".

All constructive comments and criticism welcome!

That is very cool! That'll look great wherever it is displayed. Nice job.

Thanks Tom! It was quite a learning experience.

Kris, thanks! I think this will actually get displayed in the dining room. I'm glad you liked it. That style does not appeal to everyone.

Don, Thanks for the comment. There isn't a better comment than the one you made. Thanks.

Ed, Thanks a lot for the comment. It is very much appreciated.

Hal, thanks so much for the very kind comment.

I see you are in Seattle. It looked like you got quite a bit of rain the last few days. Portland got the tail end of the storms. The coast in OR was pounded pretty hard, but in Mt. Angel (NE of Salem) we escaped most of it. Winds are blowing very hard right now, but sky is clear. Something is coming! I hope the rains did no damage where you are.

Thanks Curt!! Getting the depths right was a challenge, but then everything was since I hadn't done it before.
