Hello. I haven't been on the forum in a while and thought I would share what I've been up to lately. This piece was commissioned for a guys in laws who like to golf. It was carved in basswood and measures roughly 20'' by 14''. Also, I just got my website up and running so please check it out (link is my signature). Thanks for looking! Bobby D, That is one of the smoothest carvings that I believe I have ever seen.I'm not really into relief carving myself, but always enjoy seeing what others are doing and this one has got to rank right up there at the top. Safe Carving and God Bless, Mark |

Thank you all! here are a couple of pics showing how I went about making it. first I glued the design to the wood. ![]() Then roughed out the background with a router. ![]() ![]() I used a combination of hand tools and dremel to carve the rest.
