Default My First Chip Carving

This is my first chip carving. I got the idea for the design from Everett Ellenwood's carving book and adapted it to a six-point star. After completing it, I realized I need to work on chip symmetry and making cleaner cuts. I plan to purchase Wayne Barton's chip carving books, and 50 All-Time Favorite Chip Carving Projects from WCI. Let me know what you think.

You did really well on your first chip carving. As you may have discovered, the circle is tougher than the triangular chips.

I think your carving came out very well. I have only tried one and threw it away. I have the WCI book and think it is an excellent choice

Looks a lot better than my first attempt. I've got a lot of practice to do.

For a first I'd say you did just dandy fine. I can remember that mine did't look that good. Nice going.
