very nice work-- im sure that no one really appreciates the effort that went into it. my question is a bit off of the others-- where did the patterns come from? i know that WCI had 12 or so on line a while back--

Hi chuck, I got a lot, of the patterns out of magazines,( this magazine) and books. some I got from a yard sale buy Barry McKenzie. and you can bet I will be joining his newsletter soon. the info was on the patterns sheets. so I looked him up, and found you can join a newsletter and get lots of info to do chip carving. I am a Wayne Barton fan, and Pam Gresham who also has beginners books out there. learned a lot from her books. I found them on ebay. but I believe you can get most them from fox chapel.
as far as being done, no way. there is so much I wish to do. on boxs, furniture, etc.

Buy the way. I just went to the Sanbernadino fair to get my quilt judged with my carving guild. group CCG. (Hi Desert Carvers) and dang if I didn't win another blue, best of class, and best of show, and WOW judges choice. I am so over whelmed. I just can't tell you. I never took much thought in winning ribbons, but I have to say, it is very encouraging, and makes me wont to even try harder for sure. now if I can just get my thump better,

thanks for all the reply's. I even picked up a couple folks who what to join are group to learn how to do what I do. how amazing is that for a year old carver. I feel blessed for sure. if any of you are in southern calif. and go to the San Bernardino county fair. I will be there. thanks for looking and replying.
Evie
