Default Little Red Tail.....

Here's one in basswood.....just carved with single edged tools. No sanding, of course. The circle is 4 1/2" dia. Oil stains for the colors and a clear of urethane will be applied when it's dry.

Hope you like it.

Thanks,

Joe

, Shannon and yes, it's part of a small house marker called, "Hawksview". That's what I hoped to capture with the carving....

Very nice. I really like your even, textured background.

Nice work. Incredible detail on such a small carving. Throwing that quarter in there is a nice touch for the photo. Giving the size is one thing, but, using something so familiar for perspective really adds to it.

I found a very small red tail dead today while walking, it was smaller than a pidgeon......one wing sticking up......never seen one that small? not sure what else could have the same wing marking and coloring?
