Default Large chip carving for 2009

This started as a basic design then it took off into a world of it's own.

This is 24" Sq. and the four triangles are hinged and lay on top of another piece.

I made this so you can see the inner rosette when closed.

When this is opened it is a 3' diamond. The dark wood is walnut and the light is basswood.

I started this in Apr. and only worked on it off and on.

A Masterpiece of work for sure, this one is a ribbon winner in any show, take it to a big one, very nice details and clean cuts, love the darker frame work too. Bill

Beautiful as always. What did you seal the basswood with? Is it meant to be used as a card table?

You failed to tell us April of what year. This is absolutely amazing. I can't even imagine your chip pile. All of these perfect little pyramids.

Beautiful job, Tom
