YES, it does feel really good to be working on the smaller panels. I'll be pleased when all three panels are hanging together. I think they are going to compliment each other and give some interest to the wall.
Thank you, for stopping by and commenting,

| | Re: Kachina Panels WIP UPDATE Hi All, well finally my project has come to an end. Planned, Carved, Finished, Painted and Hung. Boy what a relief get it relief, LOL couldn't resist! In the images the panels don't seem as large as they really are in real life. I think as a whole I accomplished what I set out to do. I want to thank you all for your support and encouragement during the carving of these panels. I learned a lot, made some mistakes and came out with a carving unit I could be proud to display in my home. The carved wooden eagle showing near the left panel was carved by an unknown artist. Hubby bought it for me several years ago long before I ever thought about woodcarving. He must have known something I didn't. LOL Thanks Again, Kathy |

| | Re: Kachina Panels WIP Wow, Kathy, absolutely awesome and they go so well with what I can see of the wall texturing and assume is SouthWest style.
Truly beautiful artwork. |

| | Re: Kachina Panels WIP Hi everyone, and thank you all so much for returning for a final look and comment. You all have been so supportive and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not sure I will take on this type of project again even as a commission. LOL
Mel, the 'Sun Maiden' is my favorite too becuase you carved the original. I don't think I was able to reproduce what you did, but is was fun trying.
Ron T, the walls do have a heavy texturing and are an off white. Our home exterior is more English in appearance and the interior is a mix of English and Southwest.
Thanks again all,
Kathy |
